The Hummingbird 15 in pure form...

Inspired by iconic British and American combo amps from the 50s and 60s, the Hummingbird 15 is our original signature design that combines the thickness and touch-sensitivity of a tweed, the headroom and shimmer of a black-panel, and a good dose of British harmonics in lightweight 1 x 12 combo. Built to the highest standard, every point on the volume dial is a distinct tonal neighborhood. Crisp cleans transition seamlessly to breakup and distortion with amazing touch-sensitivity that balances a solid transient attack with singing note-bloom. The unified design of cabinet, circuit, and speaker preserves low-end focus at any volume while mid and high harmonics increase with gain.

Your pedals will love this amp. Modulations, reverbs and delays thrive on the Hummingbirds’ harmonics and sustain, while there is enough headroom for your drive, boost, and distortion pedals to pop as much as desired. Or simply dime it and use your volume control—old school. Either way, the Hummingbird and Royal speaker can take whatever abuse you put through it without breaking a sweat.

The sweetspot of our favorite sounds...

Featuring a GZ34 rectifier and 2 x 6V6 valves, the Hummingbird 15 puts out a (conservatively-rated) 15 watts of power. Our signature High / Low tone-stack is extremely smooth, offering very targeted bass and high bands with a slight overlap in the midrange if you want to push or pull mids. In the tradition of deceptively simple controls, the Hummingbird EQ is a hybrid of American thickness with British harmonics. It can tame a stinger or clarify a muddy neck with precision that preserves early harmonics.

Your Hummingbird ships standard with the Decker Royal 50 Ceramic Speaker and custom padded-cordura amp cover included at no additional charge. Choose the Decker Jubilee 50 AlNico Speaker for an additional charge. Both speakers are British style in their voicing and design. The Royal is very efficient and forward sounding with outstanding range from cleans to creamy breakup. It is a more aggressive and punchy speaker and feels a bit louder by comparison. The Jubilee has more compression, is slightly cleaner, has softer and deeper lows with more sparkling hight (as you might expect for AlNico). Both speakers are conservatively rated at 50 watts and can take hours of full-volume abuse without breaking a sweat.
